Concerts of “stars” usually take place at Culture Centre Acron (500-2500 roubles). Rock concerts are most often organized by the LED Club&Concert Hall (700-1700 roubles), where at the usual hour you can dance to the electronic music.
Theatre goers are welcome to the Novgorod Academic Drama Theatre named after F.M. Dostoevsky, where both classical and modern (generally by foreign authors) plays are staged. The spot of innovations is Novgorod Theatre for Children and Youth Maly famous with its performances that are unusual in everything: from genre to selection of theme. On their stage you can watch a Gothic novel or a performance… Or a touching documentary play based on the letters of a poet. The ticket prices to Novgorod theatres start from 200 roubles.

The “signature” entertainments of Novgorod are folk crafts workshops. At the exposition “Porcelain Museum Shop” at the Monastery of the Tithes (Desyatinny Monastery) visitors are trained to paint porcelain items. At Novgorod Regional Arts and Crafts House you can see folk games, learn about the secrets of pottery and how to work with the birch bark and make protective charms. V.I. Povetkin Cultural Centre periodically organizes concerts of the folk chorus in traditional costumes. There in the framework of exposition Musical Antiquities you can get to know better traditional Russian musical instruments and listen to old melodies. All workshops need to be booked in advance, the average price per person is from 200 to 1000 roubles (depends on the size of the group). It is better to find out in advance whether the trainer speaks a foreign language.
